Race2Dublin 2008
Dublin, The Temple Bar, the Guinness Brewery, the River Liffy, and all with a smile and an Irish accent…
Sitting a mere 350 km to southwest of Edinburgh, Dublin is a great destination for a weekend away from the winds of a cold Edinburgh November (for the winds and cold of a slightly colder Dublin November). What could be better than going to Dublin for a weekend, GOING FOR FREE!
The ESCA Race2Dublin is your chance to get to Dublin for nothing and raise some money for your favourite charity. The concept is really simple, get yourself in a team (at least two including one male), get some sponsors, make yourself a colourful banner and get ready for the strangest, hardest and most enjoyable few days of the year!
The race starts outside Teviot Union in Bristo Square and finishes at the friendly Browns Hostel in Dublin, where you will be able to catch up on some much needed sleep! All you have to do to get there is stick your thumb out, plead with motorists and travel companies, walk if you have to - just get to Dublin before anyone else.
